BREAKING! Dream of the Outstretched Arm

BREAKING! Dream of the Outstretched Arm

Last Updated on April 11, 2024 7:49 AM by herald

Dream Submitted by Sister Max

I had this dream on Monday 25 March 2024. In this dream I saw an arm and I could tell it was a strong arm. The arm began at the shoulder. It seemed white in colour but yet transparent and its fist was closed.

The arm was extended towards a crowd of people. It was above the people but close to them.  The people could not see the arm because they were not looking up at it; they were walking with their heads down.

The people seemed to be walking in darkness but were being led by this arm.

Then I looked up and on the left side of this arm I saw a window.  The head of a woman was there, in the window, watching what was going on.

Then a look of knowing what the arm meant came over her face and she quickly put her arm out and stopped the people from advancing toward the arm. She then turned the lower part of the arm towards her because she wanted to receive whatever the arm had for the people, for herself only.

That is where the dream ended.

Comments and Interpretation

If we understand the Apostle Paul correctly, dreams, like prophecies and other manifestations of the supernatural which he listed in 1 Corinthians chapter 14, are designed to build up the church.  This is verse 26 of that chapter:

What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. 1 Corinthians 14:26

I am bearing this in mind specially as I make some comments on this dream.  In other words, although it is for the benefit of all the people, is not for the interpretation of the unsaved man, but for the church.

There is good reason for making that statement. It is the church, who are the kings and priests of God, to be the spiritual guardians or watchmen of a nation.  This principle is clearly laid down in the Old Testament in the book of Ezekiel the prophet:

The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, speak to your people and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman, and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people, then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not heed the warning and the sword comes and takes their life, their blood will be on their own head. Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head. If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’

Ezekiel 33: 2-6

So ultimately, we the church have to decide how we are going to use the prophetic and spiritual insight this dream offers to intervene in the affairs of our country. It does not matter which Caribbean country it refers to because behind the dream is a principle which I hope you can grasp as we review this dream.

Interpretation

Let’s start with the big picture and gravitate toward the details using scripture, commonsense and reason to help us.

First, we notice that the dream is loaded with the supernatural in many ways: the hand itself speaks of the supernatural. The image of an outstretched arm appears many times in Scripture. On almost every occasion, it symbolizes God’s supernatural arm of protection, strength, approval and/orprovision.

The image of the outstretched arm appears in Scripture most often in connection with God’s deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt.  Here are just a few of the verses you may want to review on this theme of the outstretched hand as we study this piece of kingdom intelligence together:

  1. Deuteronomy 4:34
  2. Deuteronomy 26:8
  3. I Kings 8:42
  4. 2 Kings 17:36
  5. Jeremiah 27:5
  6. Jeremiah 32:7
  7. Jeremiah 32:21
  8. Ezekiel 20:33
  9. Ezekiel 20:34
  10. Psalm 136:12

The people are moving forward but they cannot see where they are going.  In fact they were walking with their heads down. This speaks of me of despair and dejection. It suggests the people were oppressed and beaten down.

They are being led by the hand although they could not see it.    To my mind this speaks of blessing. I can think of no more powerful and practical Scripture that speaks to future blessing than Jeremiah 29:11.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

It would seem, however, that the people had lost their faith in the goodness of God; that is why they were walking with their heads down. Scripture states that we walk by faith and not by sight. However, one Caribbean Prime Minister, either knowingly or unwittingly, was reported to have stated the opposite.   I heard the statement myself. Think about that.

Commonsense suggests that although the people could not see the arm, they could see the woman because she was able to stop them.  This means that the woman was in a position to exercise authority over the people which is why she was able to try to stop the people.  This suggests she is a leader of the people and one whom the people would trust and obey.

Now let’s dig a little deeper.

In the dream the Sister Max says that “a look of knowing what the arm meant came over her face”

The fact that the woman was able to perceive what the good the arm held, suggests she was able to do so by supernatural means. Remember, the people could not see it although it was there for them; for their good.   This suggests that the people were not aware of or were not relying on the supernatural themselves!

As you think about this, just remember that both good and evil operate in the supernatural. You can put as much faith in the supernatural for good as you can for evil. In essence, faith is a neutral force.  We can have faith in Jehovah God or faith in the Evil One. That is something we must never forget.

The final point of the interpretation is this. Again, I quote Sister Max:

“She wanted to receive, for herself only, whatever the arm had for the people”.

That is really serious stuff. That a person of the woman’s stature and position, would want to divert supernatural blessing from the people she seems to be leading, and to herself, is  beyond selfish; it is definitely diabolical in every sense of the word and decidedly anti-Christian.

But this is where this specific prophetic dream intersects and strengthens other prophetic revelations both ancient and current.  In the book of Jeremiah, we read of God’s proclamation of His absolutely good intentions for His people. It is a verse we cited earlier:

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.

Just remember, however, that this good seldom drops down from the sky into our laps. On most occasions, we have to move forward in faith and obedience. On other occasions you will have to past through testing and trials but even there, God’s promise of good remains:

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Isaiah 43:2

Call to Action

Whatever else you may glean from this dream, by way of further revelation of the Holy Spirit, we have to decide what we are going to do about its revelations.  If you have a further genuine insight into this dream, please feel free to share them in the comments section.

Remember we are watchmen and women on the wall.  Obviously, we need to pray. But we need to learn how to pray in a way that moves the hand of God to specifically deal with our national situations.  Our first “benevolent” prayer might be to ask God to save this woman.  That is very noble but it is ignores the fact that we are engaged in a serious spiritual warfare.  That woman, whoever she is, is our enemy because she is actively seeking to thwart the blessings of God for the people.  Therefore, our prayer must be directed at several things:

Exposing the woman

We have NOT brought these prophesies to this programme yet but one of the powerful things God is telling his prophets is that he is using the weapon of EXPOSURE to break up the operations of the enemy and people who insult Him, shamelessly take his glory and push perversion on our societies.  That is why you see the exposure of institutions like Hollywood  and people like Pee Diddy.  And there is more to come! If we ask him to expose this woman he will!

Opening the Eyes of the People

The spiritual eyes of the ordinary people are being blinded by the hardships of this life as Jesus prophesied in Luke 18:8 and as we explained here. Even sections of the church have gone into spiritual recession. We need to pray that the church and the people RETURN to God because He is the only one who can save us.

Reversing the Curses

We need to ask God to nullify the actions taken to divert God’s blessings into the hands of The Woman and reverse any curses brought upon our societies by her dealings in the kingdom of darkness. Some of us believe that such things are not possible. All we will say to that right now is that is comfort for a fool and a sign of ignorance of the teaching of scripture.

The Ultimate Prayer

One of the best ways we can pray is via a proclamation. It is a special kind of prayer based on God’s promises or his prophetic word.  We do not want to break the train of thinking here so we will not attempt to discuss proclamations now. But at the end of this article there is a link to an excellent teaching on proclamations by the late Derek Prince.

Following is a prayer of proclamation that we have made on behalf of our country Barbados even before this dream came to our attention. It is based on a prophetic statement in Revelation 11:15.

We proclaim it almost every day. You have to remember that Satan, our enemy, understands proclamations very well and so do his closest followers. That includes followers of false religions.  Islamic terrorists know this very well; even as they are dying, they make proclamations.

Even if you don’t quite understand fully how proclamations “work” I suggest you find at least one person who can agree with you to make this proclamation on behalf of your country (See Matthew 18:19).  God has a special interest in countries and nations and their governments but that is another teaching altogether.

Click the image below to listen to the full proclamation my wife and I have made and continue to make on behalf of Barbados.

We also invite you to listen to the late Derek Prince’s excellent teaching on the subject of proclamations.
